There isn’t much physical difference between the tainted (actual natural!) and natural (actual vital), because the changes are mostly internal. Vitae-affected crocines are monotremes, like echidnas or platypuses, and have poisonous saliva. True natural crocines are shy marsupials, and are much shyer than their vital counterparts.

I’m actually way sadder that you can’t see the vital’s silly raptor claws than I am about the natural’s resize— the natural was meant to show off the crocine’s anatomy more than anything. Marsupial tails can be hard to work with. :c

Been meaning to revisit these guys for a while, and they seemed like the most logical choice for the demonstration in the latest chapter.

The beta is too small to rip his tree out of the ground, oh no! :(

Thanks so much for your feedback and support along the way, guys — I feel like I’ve learned a ton doing this album, and it’s a pretty far stretch from the first one I released a little over a year ago. :D

I’m going to get back to focusing on one-offs and composing new songs for Valenth now that this is done and out— and as always, I’ll be sharing those here when I can!

For now, enjoy the album! No miraplasm was used in the creation of the music crystals, we swear!

Edit: If you’ve gotten the album already, you’ll want to grab this mp3 of Reflection in Chains (the first of the two bonus tracks) — I accidentally uploaded a version without the lead guitar in! :O It’s fixed in the Bandcamp download now, too. :)

I drew this character once but forgot what I tagged it so I can’t find her *fail*. Pretty sure I have the pics saved on my comp though, will look for them later.

So yeah, this is her as a leupak, plus a quick ugly scribble of her human(oid) form.

Her name varies with the language, but it’s always the word used for “breeze. I usually call her “Brisa” or “Breeze”. She was supposed to be some sort of alter-ego but ended up developing a personality of her own :P She’s kind of a nature-loving hippie sprite/spirit.
